At the Full Moon of the Spring Equinox, April 10, 2009, The Mohawk Traditional Council declared “The current Worldwide Environmental Crisis to have reached the level of Emergency Status” and that “Human Beings do not have the time to go back to our schools, our jobs or our lifestyles (meaning, business as usual), but that we must now focus all of our energy on reversing the damage that we have caused to our Mother Earth”.
The ecological disaster incurred from Japans failed Fukishima nuclear power plant has made painfully clear, the urgency of the insensate direction technology has taken under this valueless economic system of “theft and destruction”, revealing the greed, short sightedness and destructive nature of Atomic Energy.
The United States along with the International Atomic Energy Agency (I.A.E.A) justify the pursuit of nuclear power with the argument that we must meet the energy needs of the worlds expanding populations. Instead of addressing the negative impact of over-population, they fuel overpopulation with the negative energy source of atomic energy, revealing it solely as the GREED driven economic war enterprise that it was created for in the first-place. This is exemplified in the security agreement the United States imposed upon Japan, ultimately leaving millions of Japanese people in harms way only to be utilized as guinea pigs by the I.A.E.A.
In spite of the fact that there is no way to decontaminate or dispose of any irradiated materials in a safe way, combined with the practice of building nuclear power plants upon known fault lines, is equivalent to placing nuclear time-bombs all over our Mother Earth just waiting to explode in our children’s faces, revealing the short-sightedness that such greed has intrinsicated into the very fibre of our being. The resulting outcome in places like Fukishima, Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, reveals the destructive nature of atomic energy and its ability to tear apart the very fabric of life itself.
Like a cancer, the violent process of atomic energy invades the molecular core of our existence, strips apart the protons neutrons and electrons turning them against one another, annihilating the atomic structure, un-weaving the very fabric of which we are made. This deconstruction of the atom’s core de-stabilises the entire World, our children and all our future generations and as such is a destructive process that threatens our very existence that must be stopped immediately.
Being that the United States, Canada and other countries, with nuclear capabilities, steal approximately 80 percent of the worlds uranium supply from the indigenous people’s sacred lands of Turtle Island categorises atomic energy as; proceeds of crime, making nuclear energy a practice that only a moral-less, highly uncivilized society would condone.
Subsequently, we implore the International Atomic Energy Agency to advise the world as to these concerns and to direct all countries with nuclear abilities to immediately de-commission and to stop the further pursuit and development of all atomic energy programs.
On behalf of the faces that are yet beneath the Earth
In Peace and Friendship.
