Rapa Nui Seek Injunctive Relief from OAS

On Friday, some Rapa Nui clans–represented primarily by Leonardo Crippa from the Indian Law Resource Centerfiled a petition with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, which is part of the Organization of American States (OAS) system. The petition was asking the OAS to grant injunctive relief against Chile in an effort to avoid having repressive actions taken by the Chilean government against Rapa Nui clans who are making claims about their ancestral lands.
